Association of Consumers of Medical Services, Drugs and Medical Products |
The main purpose of the Association of Consumers is the protection of the interests of the consumers in terms of the quality, turnover and advertisement of the drugs, biologically active supplements, special dietary food, medical equipment and medical products as well as the medical services and the services on provision the citizens with the medical products.
- The key aspects of the activity of the Association of Consumers:
- the civil control over the quality, turnover and advertisement of the medical products, biologically active supplements, special dietary food, medical equipment and medical products used by the citizens of Ukraine, as well as the medical services and the services on providing the citizens with the drugs;
- arrangement and conducting of the conferences, symposia, round tables, workshops, etc.;
- arrangement and performance of the independent civil and scientific expertise of the provisions of the applicable laws, regulatory documents, technological normative documents, analytical and regulatory documents and technological documents, as well as their drafts;
- arrangement and performance of the civil expertise of the products and activity;
- providing assistance to the subjects of the legislative initiative and participation in the preparation of the main regulatory and standard acts;
- providing the members of the Association and the citizens of Ukraine with the regular information exchange as to the issues related to the purpose and the tasks of the Association;
- the protection of the interests of the members of the Association as to the purpose and the tasks of the Association;
- The rights of the Association of Consumers:
- to interact with the public authorities, non-governmental organizations, scientific and educational establishments, health care organizations, political parties, creative associations, enterprises, institutions, organizations irrespective of the type of ownership, separate individuals;
- to involve the leading experts and scientists to ensuring the implementation of the purpose and the tasks of the Association;
- to enter into relations with the international and foreign organizations;
- to analyze and study the activity and the products in terms of the purpose and tasks of the Association and the changes to the applicable laws which regulate the given field;
- to enjoy the rights of the non-governmental consumers’ organizations stipulated in the Law of Ukraine on Consumer Rights Protection
- to learn the consumption peculiarities of the products, demand for them, interview the population in order to reveal the public opinion as to the quality of the goods which are manufactured and sold, as well as the prices for them;
- to conduct independently or apply to the authorized authorities as to conducting the expertise and testing of the products;
- to obtain the information required for the implementation of its purposes and tasks from the executive authorities, local self-governance authorities;
- to assist the relevant public authorities in exercising control over the quality of the products and servicing;
- to advise and consult the consumers under the applicable laws;
- to propose as to the preparation of the regulatory documents which define the requirements to the products;
- to represent and protect the consumers in the executive authorities and local self-governance authorities under the applicable laws;
- to introduce propositions to the executive authorities and business entities as to raising the quality of the products, the temporary seizure of the production output and sale of the products which do not correspond to the set quality requirements, the close of production, withdrawal of the products from sale which are dangerous for life, health and property of the citizens or damage the environment, falsified and defected products, as well as while adjusting the prices defined with the breach of the applicable laws;
- to organize the events (conferences, seminars, exhibitions, round tables, etc.), the programs and the projects, directed to the implementation of the purpose and the tasks of the activity of the Association;
- to found the mass media, publish own printed materials; to create the Internet-sites and portals which highlight the activity of the Association;
- to notify the wide public as to the performance of the tasks of the Association through mass media (printed media, press conferences, Internet, etc.).
