An All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization “The Union of Mental Health Care Specialists of Ukraine”

An all-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization “The Union of Mental Health Care Specialists of Ukraine”is an all-Ukrainian non-governmental organization founded by the citizens of Ukraine based on the equality of the interests for joint implementation of the set tasks and goals.

The key goals:

• the constant study and analysis of the medical aid and services in the field of the mental health in Ukraine and abroad;
• the attraction of the public attention to the state of the mental health of the Ukrainian population;
• the elaboration of the programs, recommendations, drafts of the standard documents regarding the development of the mental health protection system in Ukraine;
• the public control over the activity of the mental health organizations of all forms of ownership;
• the promotion of the development of the international cooperation regarding the problems which arise in the mental health field in Ukraine, etc.

To reach the set goals, the Organization

• cooperates with the public authorities, non-governmental organizations, educational establishments, religious organizations, commercial structures, etc.
• arranges the training of its members and experts in the field of the protection of mental health;
• provides the necessary legal, methodological, informational and physiological aid to its members;
• participates in the exhibitions, lectures, workshops, conferences;
• combines the intellectual, financial and material resources of the members of the Organization with the purpose to develop and introduce new scientific technologies, techniques and methods in the filed of the mental health protection;
• carries out the social control over the quality of the medical and diagnostic aid in the psychiatric facilities;
• collects and analyzes the statistics indices of the mental health security service,in the established procedure.
